Paradiddle Pedal Guide
Hey everyone, I created the Paradiddle Pedal Guide to collect all information about pedal integration in Paradiddle under one page. The guide goes over the different pedal choices offered to users, discusses how to use them in the app, and lists pros, cons and a price comparison.

You can find the pedal guide here: http://paradiddleapp.com/pedal-guide/

If your pedal related questions still aren't answered after checking out the Pedal Guide, feel free to ask them on the forums here or on the Paradiddle Discord: https://discordapp.com/invite/wjHnTVr. We have a channel dedicated just for foot pedals on the Discord group and I'm generally pretty quick to respond on there, so I'd recommend joining for any other questions or feedback as well.

Hope this helps!

Emre

The app won't receive keyboard input unless the window is in focus. Can you click on your Paradiddle window on your desktop to make sure it has focus, and then try again?

A note that the Yamaha HH65 Hi Hat Pedal is not compatible with the ddrum ddti MIDI head. I was able to get an Alesis Hi Hat pedal to work

I have 1/4 inch plug switch pedals I use for my Casio LD-80 digital drum machine. Any chance those would work through the audio card input?

Am I correct in assuming that I can connect my e-drum kit up to Paradiddle in the same manner I connect it to, say, phase shift, so that the hihat and kick drum triggers register the hits? It says it's midi, but its connected via USB. Alesis Command kit. Thanks.

Hi, yes these should work the same way as any other USB pedal, I believe you can have each pedal in it emulate a different keyboard key. Let me know if you need any help setting it up, or feel free to message me on the Discord (https://discord.gg/paradiddle).

Hi, I have set up my MIDI drums, could get everything but the hi-hat pedal to work. I mean, the closed note works, which is set to 42, as per the default note.

The open hi-hat and the pedal close sounds don't register. And they're both set at their default notes, 46 and 44 respectively each.

I checked in the little console that comes with my Carlsbro CSD400. Although in MIDIShortcut, a program that can listen to MIDI inputs, both the pedal and the open hi-hat registered as 46.

Also I know you said you were working on it, but in case you need this for reference, my drums MIDI notes for rimshots are as follows:

- Snare Rim: 37
- Tom1 Rim: 50
- Tom2 Rim: 47
- Tom3 Rim: 58
- Crash1 Rim: 55
- Ride Rim: 59

There are more but those are the drums that come with the kit, although it supports adding more. Will check the Discord in the meantime.
