[New fix] WineD3D fixes Windows 10 issues
A clean installation of Hitman 2 will be mostly broken on many Windows 10 PCs. I have found out that adding WineD3D libraries (tested with version 8.0-rc3) fixes the problem.

WineD3D may be downloaed here[fdossena.com]

Just unzip the .dll files on hitman 2 root directory and start it as you normally would on Steam. Haven't had an issue since on Windows 10.

Edit: This fix apparently doesn't need editting any .ini file and it does not require d3d8to9. Recommended in general but specially on systems where d3d8to9 breaks.

That solution hasn't worked on my system, however, using WineD3D did.

This is just another solution that may work for others.

Well I didn't use either and everything works perfectly fine on Windows 10, including all the cutscenes.

You need to lock FPS to 60, problem solved.

Thanks. I noticed that on Linux (wine) the game works OK, and that there's a port of wine's D3D-to-OpenGL stack for windows. And it worked just fine.

Glad it has helped more people :)

I don't even know how to do or request that.

I need none of these fixes.
This is just another, easier, and apparently more stable way of fixing Hitman *without* editting .ini files, *without* d3d8to9

Edit: Editting the post tiltle as to explicitly say I am not asking for a way to fix hitman[/b] instead I am providing a new fix. D3d8to9 is broken on some systems, has never worked on mine, and I found out this other way around works fine.
