https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=654613280 This is the quickest and most accurate fix their is, i just had to do it as i just purchased the game, and it took me all of 2 minutes. Now i will add i recommend also going into youre steam folder finding the .dll called steam.dll copy it into youre hitman 2 folder as well that way steam never has an issue finding it, as well as going into youre nvidia or amd settings and locking the game at 60 fps no higher cause it will cause issues in the game

I found the easiest way to fix the lag .

When you launch the game you are given two options. Play or configuration. Go the configuration option and change the resolution to the highest and also put all the graphics to highest quality. This made my game run without any patches.
