grey screen on start help?

I get a grey screen on start. then it turns black. I can hear sound, but that's it. Please help. I really want to be able to play this game again.
ryzen 3700 and a radeon vii gpu

nope. second time i returned the game too. it's sad because I really want to play it. it's one of my faves.

what a shame, trying to mess around with compatibility mode. It does start but the game itself wont begin. So sorry you had to return it.

We can't,the moderators/admins for Hitman 2 forums can probably.
There is a section in the rules as well:
"No Backseat Moderating
Let the moderators do the moderating."

I made a topic here already and the guide itself is also on Steam and the video is on YT,I think that's all we can do for now its an old game so I guess its not a priority,oh well,at least we got it to work!

The Windows 10 fix definitely works. Another tip: if you get another configuration settings file like I did when extracting my zip, ignore that. It's just the four files shown in the Windows 10 video.

I hope the video for Windows 11 users helped with them as well.

Yes,tested on both Windows 10/Windows 11,works,thank you for the great feedback!
You can modify the Hitman2.ini file to reflect your display settings,like adding
StartUpperPos 0,0 for dual monitor support or changing resolution to something like 2k or 4k. by changing this line Resolution 1920x1080.
