OP, this game had no controller support on PC because game's back then generally didn't have controller support. Controller support only started becoming a normal thing by 2007, and even then it was kinda hit or miss.

The developers aren't going to "add it in" because the original people that made this game in particular probably aren't even working anymore. If you want to use your controller, stop crying on the steam forums and start doing research. You can use a 3rd party emulator like Pinnacle Game Profiler, Xpadder or Joy2Key to force your controller's buttons to mimick the buttons on a keyboard.

i dont know y i would want to play the game with controller. the only reason i have a controller for pc r some racing games and flying in gta v. also, even if they would have added controller support for the controllers in 2002, it would not really work with the new controllers now.

This game ACTUALLY HAS gamepad support
The beta version of Hitman 2 has PS2 Gamepad support, but in the final version they removed it. (The action codes which calls the PS2 controller to make 47 move)
I don't know If I can get it working, but I think not.

Joysticks and gamepads are different as well, look them up dumbtard you should see really big differences and if you're complaining about there being no controller support, why are you playing the PC version? Get a console version (the HD re-release is quite good if you have PS3 or Xbox 360 :) ).
