Report a translation problem
The developers aren't going to "add it in" because the original people that made this game in particular probably aren't even working anymore. If you want to use your controller, stop crying on the steam forums and start doing research. You can use a 3rd party emulator like Pinnacle Game Profiler, Xpadder or Joy2Key to force your controller's buttons to mimick the buttons on a keyboard.
The beta version of Hitman 2 has PS2 Gamepad support, but in the final version they removed it. (The action codes which calls the PS2 controller to make 47 move)
I don't know If I can get it working, but I think not.
