Game running way too fast

Hello all.
I have started playing Hitman 2 again today, and the game runs way too fast.
I have read that typing ip_timemultiplier .5 into the console works.
It does, but you have to type this in every single time you load or reload the game.
Is there a fix out there?
I have tried most of the fixes on here.

Maybe change the .ini files, that could do the trick.

One way to limit FPS is using RivaTuner and limit the FPS to 60.

Limiting game FPS is needed, because not doing this may cause weird things, like being spotted way too fast, or doors not being able to be opened.

set fps to max with 100 or less you can do this by typing in console fps_max "the amount you want"

I would suggest setting the FPS to 60.

"Frame rates above 60 fps will cause NPCs to be more sensitive than intended and may affect pathing timing. Game is still playable at 144 fps, but issues may arise if attempting to play through a level with perfect stealth."
