The game has not been out a day, it's been in early access for a very long time now, the game will either work for you or against you, but the price is so cheap that you won't miss the money you spend.

There's huge bugs still n the game and some experience horrible fps drops, I actually lost my character after this last update and lost all my recipes as a result of having to create a new character and when I'm on still can't see the bots chest so only the host can see them and use them, so for me and the wife this game gets a negative review.

But I do hope the developers can one day fix every single issue this game does have and who knows maybe less people will write negative reviews

The reason people are giving bad reviews is because the game is nowhere near complete. Bugs, missing stuff, etc.

It's a fun game and has a lot to offer. It lacks polish and the reason why I think it's already out before your typical game release is probably because the devs didn't get enough playtesting in Early Access.

It's worth buying on sale for sure.
Just keep in mind that like the first shop keep, there will likely be a ton of updates to come.

The first game was a rough hot mess like this one is; but now it's pretty awesome.

And there you have it, this game is currently a rough hot mess, and this is the second time they have to push out their games before they are really ready for prime light because they run out of resources to keep it in development longer.

So I can understand that players get annoyed by it and give this game a negative review, even if it did improve over the first game and did end up with a few extra features.

Oooh, don't also forget the fact that previous owners got screwed over by their "Full Release Sale" Where prior owners were given 30% off but anyone who waited for "full release" got 40% off.

Yeah, I don't think most people really care about having paid $1 more, while having access to the game earlier.

And yeah that is the case in a lot of games leaving EA, a lot of times the launch week sale together with a coupon you get from here or there is giving you a better price range on release. So I am not realy to worried either.

But I will be waiting for a few bug fixes before I jump back in to play more.

They deviated so much from the first game its a bit dissapointing, it honestly felt like they had a much larger scope than what we've been given but they realised they had to cut down on their ambitions and seal the edges with silly puddy. To this day I still much prefer the first game but I'll happily play number 2 to fully complete what it has to offer.

The first game is better. The second tries to do many things and does most of them poorly.

Because it has no properly working multiplayer.

Because we live in the jaded generation. Everything creative is hated by a vocal minority. It's not cool to like things, you have to point out the "top fifty flaws in Endgame!" or "Why they HAVE TO remake the last season of Game of Thrones!" Same for games. "They don't let you make infinite money in a broken gameplay loop- devs are just trying to steal your money!"

... That has always been the case. That's what news networks realised decades ago: bad news get more attention than good news. It's not a generation thing, it's a human thing.

Personally, i can't stand with the limitations to bots inventory. I occupied every slot in it and barely expanded in one room, while in the first game i had a place for every item in the game with a very big store fully automated. The dev said this limitation is due to multyplayer for some reason i'm not educated enough to really understand. In my opinion is a colossal flaw because limits you in how to build your shop and you do sequels to implement and expand, not to cut.
