Saved game load time - picture backgrounds

I know there are many reasons for saved game load time, esp at this stage of the project. Game could have extra logging and debug code that will be removed or optimized closer to the finish line. I am not complaining that it "takes too long."

But for the time it does take, it would be nice to change the picture background along with the random "tips" text. Maybe not as fast as the tip change, a different picture for every other "tip" which is displayed. 10-15 seconds.

This would be a good place to tie into the "photo mode" feature: if players have saved photos in a particular location, those could be incorporated into "stock" paintings displayed during load time.

38 seconds to load a game at day 300, with 230 colonists. Average of 3 trials, from SSD. Intel 3570k w/ 16gb.
