Stamina bug with alex

Hellooo, I recently started a new playthrough of the game to see the changes and I choose alex to have the element of philistine and to carry a greatsword but for some reason his stamina won't go up even if I change weapons or I give him dexterity boosts, whats even weirder it's that Alex it's stuck with 54 stamina but when I change weapons he comes down to 53 stamina and there is no way to turn it back up.
I just hope there is way to fix it and doesn't mean that my savefile is dead so if anyone has happend this ¿is there a solution?.

Savefile should be fine. May need to just try him out in battle.

If that doesn't work, he wasn't supposed to have 54 stamina to begin with. (may have had a hidden status effect get attached to him after battle which in turn affected the formula. If that occurred, that would mean a status effect somewhere needs to be fixed)

Doing update soon, one that greatly improves dex builds. Going to improve Greatswords and Maces to help compete.
