Chapter 1 Game Completion

The idea of a solo-Violet/chapter 1 completion of the game has occupied my mind for a couple years, and now it has been completed

The method I found of circumventing the progression blocks ("I need to find Marcus") is simple, but largely impractical on NG. Literally all you have to do is ride the Ghost Ship off the harbor of Ghost Town. Nothing is stopping you from doing this in Chapter 1 so long as it is unlocked. After that it's a matter of landing at some remote harbor (most likely Eastern Ocean or whatever that part to the east of Katis is) and from there finding your way to wherever it is you want to go, paying some attention not to pass through starter areas that will lock you in.

My goal from there was simply to reach the Infinite Hotel in this state, but that proved surprisingly difficult. I couldn't figure out a way to get to the Western Ocean in order to teleport into and gain access to the Hotel via key, I found a way into Devil Harp but it was locked from my side, and I tried going through the mine, but I either got locked into Chapter 1 blocks if I tried to go down the eastern mine, or I could simply not find the northern mine. I eventually figured out to teleport to the Eastern Wooden Ocean teleport crystal that I unlocked by backtracking from the Eastern Ocean through the Wooden Road and down through the Divine Tower, go down a side path to enter Poetry of Blood I, use the teleport flames to get to Poetry of Blood III, and then leave to find myself basically right next to the northern mine.

Once inside the northern mine, it is a simple matter of going down through the mine, through the Ogre, through the other weird layer, and then the southern part of The Edge to reach the gateway to the Infinite Hotel. From there, you can farm your 9999 Realism Shards or technically finish the game in Chapter 1 with only Violet.

There's nothing stopping you from going to the Divine Tower and trying for continuing the plot, but the game adds Alex and Amelia to your party before you can even climb the Divine Tower if you try, which kind of defeats the point of the challenge, but has some interesting effects. They join the party with no magic unlocked, but also no curse, and the game still treats you like you are in Chapter 1 with regards to story events and the progression blocks.
