Finding every bug because there's something wrong with me
I felt guilty always overtaking other threads so I'll just constantly update the first post of this one. It'll help keep bugs from getting lost. This is also only stuff I've found. I'll section it off by area but keep the lists ordered by severity.

Bug hunting is not a means to point out mistakes or criticize, it is an attempt to help in the creation of something you enjoy. Where one cannot contribute to the art, they can try to contribute to the structure that holds it.

Search for terms to find problems quicker! (Now in order of presumed priority!)
A '?" at the end of the type (ex: BUG?) denotes me not knowing if this was intentional.

CRASH - Fix this now. Right now. Do it. Very bad not ok.
SOFTLOCK - Game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ breaks (Recommend fixing ASAP)

Actual Problems

General
  • CRASH: Trying to teach the ghost ship skills crashes the game. This happens with golem also as long as it isn't accuracy 1
  • SOFTLOCK: Pressing "S" in the boat allows you to "exit" as if you were looking at a map. This breaks everything
  • SOFTLOCK: After getting the Hunters first contract with only Violet in the party, going to the next screen will softlock the game. This can be done by entering the lodge from the sewers, bypassing normal "find Marcus" blocker events
  • BUG: Going in and out of Demon Doors too quickly teleports you to Demon Door 1
  • BUG: Hotel resets to level 1 and deletes ghost workers on NG+
    (should be fixed, needs to be tested)
  • BUG: Enemies sometimes don't take damage from the first time you hit them.
    (should be fixed, needs to be tested)
  • BUG: Repeatedly entering the town mine such that golem joins the party generates infinite AP for the golem
  • BUG: Fatdink has no skills or attacks

  • BUG: Having too high max stamina causes 0 stamina regen. Noticed when over 1k
  • BUG: Not all hotel ghosts join battle sometimes after being recruited, no idea why yet, but they still all get EXP when the fight is over as if all three were there even if only one was
  • BUG: Stim packs do not work, the buff is immediately removed and lasts 0 turns
  • EVENT: In golem's journey, exiting golem only mode does not put summoned ghost back into the party
  • BUG: Exiting ghost town police station shows wrong town level, making some buildings disappear. Problem begins at town level 7. Exiting the bar does the same thing but I'm not sure which town level that starts on. The boat house has the same issue. Many buildings will continue to exit to the wrong spot until using a building that enters to the correct spot, generally one with no internal upgrades like the church.
  • EVENT: Returning to the siblings' rooms after ending the curse plays the event for trying to leave the wrong way and permanently blocks you from exiting to the south
  • BUG: These doors still don't connect properly. The left pot door exits to the left door by the abstract. The right abstract door exits to the right pot door. I believe all four doors connect to the same room from the outside, and the interior is exiting to the pots from the right and the abstract from the left.

  • BUG: Violet refuses use Candy Boxes sometimes, theory is that she refuses if the party has more members than expected, like when you have hotel ghosts. Is it checking to see if there's X party members? This still removes the item from your inventory, but you get nothing from it.

  • EVENT: Beating the boss fight in Abstract Extractor does not remove the crystal, which can then be fought as a very low level pentagram.
    (should be fixed, needs to be tested)
  • Hotel ghosts have a lower EXP gain rate than the party, possibly tied to EXP gain Talent not working on them

Puzzles
  • PARADOX: References to Aceler no longer exist in the game making the solution to the Yamen puzzle unfindable
  • BUG: Poetry of Bronze 26-30 are linked to 25 in such a way where finishing 25 deletes the statues used to answer them, rendering them unsolvable
    (should be fixed, needs to be tested)

Quests
  • BUG: Skeleton Body quest does not reset properly on NG+. Talking the NPC for the first time plays dialog of completing the quest and adds it to the log as in progress but with the task to talk to Layda done
  • MISINFO: Waypoint Crystals quest says you need 20 when you need 12. Quest giver dialog says you need different amounts when giving the quest and during looping dialog.
    (should be fixed, needs to be tested)
  • EVENT: First Journal not removed from inventory during journal collection quest, letting you turn it in again immediately on NG+ where it disappears correctly.

  • MISINFO: Clearing the east mine of orcs only rewards 1k instead of the promised 2k from Renz
  • MISINFO: Alchemist says there are four variations of potion to try when there are only three

Nitpick Nonsense

General Gameplay
  • VISUAL: Sprites of enemies killed by damage over time remain on screen after death
  • VISUAL: Imps are basically invisible
  • BUG: Can access the learn menu of characters who are no longer in the party if they were the last character accessed by the learn or equip menus
  • EVENT: Ghost does not return to party after meeting the Symphony of Carbon
  • VISUAL: Epitaph and Breathing Horror enemies begin fights with partially emptied health bars (1% HP and 50% HP respectively), but aren't actually hurt (probably)
  • PARADOX: Alex speaks when talking to card ghosts for the first time, even when he isn't in the party
  • MECHANIC: Worm enemies can be knocked down
  • MECHANIC: Fish enemies can be knocked down
  • PARADOX: Alex and Amelia speak when boarding the ghost ship for the first time even when not in party
    (should be fixed, needs to be tested)
  • TYPO: When using a resurrection stone on a dead ally out of combat they are still buried, and a message pops up when this wears off. In this message, the name of the character and the rest of the message is not separated by a space, so it'll say "GhostRegained their composure" and,
    BUG: they will be stuck with the "downed" status as that doesn't wear off. I think this can only happen in Abstract Extractor because where else do you die out of combat, blocking all out of combat regen and forcing you to use resurrection items?
  • EVENT: Poetry of Blood knowledge chests play Symphony of Carbon trial messages after opened. Many other chests in the game do this, like in Red Temple
  • VISUAL: Golem is too tall for horizontal covered passageways

  • BUG: Rakenzie has no music unless you press the use key during the arrow spin
  • BUG: WEAKPOINT randomly appears on enemies at battle start when auto battlers are in the party (tested with boat and hotel ghosts)
  • VISUAL: Alex and Amelia descend ropes and ladders ass first
  • VISUAL: RUR Angel enemy has a vertical line on the right side of it's sprite. It's easier to see when it's highlighted when being targeted for an attack
  • VISUAL: Game icon on steam is an empty black square. Game icon on discord is a 2. Game icon on windows is an rpgmaker dragon

  • BUG: Diamond Slabs from Red Temple give the 1hsword skill set despite being 2hswords
  • BUG: The Juxtapose staff shows that it is two handed but it is only one handed
  • VISUAL: Revive items descriptions don't list that they cause "Burried," only the other two debuffs
  • MECHANIC: Cursed Rods seem to give lower magic at higher tiers
  • MECHANIC: Master Stoic Scythe has lower stats than previous tiers
  • MECHANIC: Master and Elite tier Steel Swords give lower attack % than previous tiers

  • MISINFO: Status book Vol 3 says Bless LOWERS luck, recovery, accuracy, and spirit
  • TYPO: Status Book Vol 5 claims you regen health, mana, and stamina at %10 a turn
  • MISINFO: Basic Magic Vol 3 still lists dispel as water's status effect, with dark and holy saying they only effect spirit instead of curse/bless+charm

Teleporters
  • BUG: Sometimes you can't open your menu while in the teleporter hub
  • VISUAL: Sometimes entering the warp room gives the wrong camera angle

  • EVENT: Using any crystal puts you in the middle of the first section of the teleporter room until you have more party members.
  • VISUAL: Using the North East Ocean crystal in the hub changes the camera angle before the screen transition
  • EVENT: Using the teleporter on Count's Island places you in the wrong spot in the teleporter hub
  • EVENT: On arrival after teleporting to north west wooden ocean, it begins playing a music track then immediately plays a different one (or the same at a different speed or something)

Boat

Ghost Town
  • EVENT: Ghosts in the south east side of town, south of the hotel (not the motel) walk towards the player at a highish speed, and can trap you
  • CUTOFF: Large tool upgrade cost numbers get cut off
  • EVENT: Reality Shard shows up in Weapon buy menu
  • MISINFO: Hotel manager says sent workers can't come back but you can remove them normally
  • TYPO: "Euipment" instead of "equipment"

  • EVENT: Hitting the "back" button while choosing which shop to browse in the Store opens the "Armor" shop
  • VISUAL: The interior of the boat building changed without the tier of the town changing. This ghost is stuck in geometry and north of him is the glow of where a lamp used to be (it was on top of the grey table thing before it moved) only the right section of the bookcase can be used

  • VISUAL: Assigning scientists to an unassigned laboratory does not change the node spark to a ghost

  • VISUAL: 2nd hired ghost for the police station is named Miner
  • VISUAL: Extra assigned soldiers are named Miner
  • VISUAL: Ghosts assigned to boat construction are named "Miner"
  • VISUAL: All random town ghosts, including in the shop, are named miner even if you have no miners
  • VISUAL: All reachable paintings in Art building flash when interacted with from the top-middle tile
  • TYPO: When Oldman first waves you down on the road during the prologue he says the ghosts "won 't" listen to him instead of "won't." In a following line of text he mentions "Miguel" but the M isn't capitalized.
  • TYPO: Should be "laze around" instead of "lazy around"

  • EVENT: Construction level 3+ motel bookcase not interactable.. Unassigned assignment node says hello to you as if it's an assigned ghost already.

  • TYPO: POM introduces himself as a "black smith" instead of a "blacksmith" Later when explaining where to get shards, the word "Found" is capitalized for no reason
  • TYPO: After turning in the first ghost bartender quest he says "Are gonna help" instead of "Are you gonna help"

  • PARADOX: Violet tells Leon the first journal had a ghost guarding it. it didn't. He then says for the second book you need to talk to a ghost in a library, but the journal is just on the floor and talking to the ghost doesn't help. He also says you need 12 shards to enter the library, to which Violet responds "9 shards?" which is not the same number
  • TYPO: After the 2nd journal and getting paid by Leon, he says "Understood" and Alex replies "Better be" which doesn't make any sense. In the following line, Alex says "anymore" instead of "any more." Anymore is a time thing, any more is a quantity thing.
  • CUTOFF: When receiving the final bar quest, text gets cut off

  • TYPO: During the intro's initial dialog with the soldier on the dock, "Bridge" is capitalized for no reason.
    EVENT: This soldier also cannot be spoken to from the north.
  • TYPO: The apprentice at the broken bridge says "just so happen" instead of "just so happens"
  • EVENT: This NPC has only one looping dialog

North Katis
  • EVENT: "Need to find marcus" event north beyond the teleport crystal doesn't auto play, making it an invisible wall you need to interact with to trigger event (and is pointless because you can just walk around to the other side using the road.) The east exit of the town toward the Priest quest also does this
  • BUG: The soldier on the right behind the desk in the barracks basement cannot be spoken to again after being told to talk to Renz. This permanently prevents you from buying stimpacks
  • PARADOX: Bonus NPCs arrive in town when starting the "Clearing the Basin" quest instead of after you complete it
  • PARADOX: Sequence that plays when sleeping at Simon's with the siblings mentions Divine Tower being offline even if you've turned it back on already
  • TILE: tree on the right

  • VISUAL: Wandering soldier in the upper level of the barracks displays a portrait when spoken to a second time. The soldier on drugs also does this.

The priest one happened to me also, I was assuming some other event had to happen for them to move from the woods to the bar, but if they're supposed to disappear from the woods and immediately appear in the bar, they don't sometimes, I guess?

If you start digging into that series of events, the end of the bar scene with them is also ♥♥♥♥♥. There is no fade to cover the party teleporting from standing at the table back to standing wherever you were when you started the conversation, and the hollows music never returns. This causes all battles to have the hollows music.

Tested this, interacting with this lantern breaks the game entirely for no reason, looping the into cutscene infinitely with weird attack sounds between. This is a softlock and should be fixed right away.

While you're at fixing softlocks, you can still enter the Hunter's lodge from the sewer as solo violet, and if you take their quest, leaving causes a softlock.

And I had a crash in a POB where a healing robot cast a healing spell, giving me this error:

Small patch tomorrow
Update: after starting up the game last night, the priest and soldiers were at the bar in the Hollows. Might be that a save and restart fixed things.

Edit: I also ensured that I talked to the priest and all three soldiers when they were in the forest. Unsure if this may have updated whatever flag moves them to the bar or it was the save & quit that updated their location.
