How to run Commandos on Windows 10 64Bit (Works all commandos games)

Go to your search bar and type in "Turn Windows Features on or off"

A windows will pop up, search for "Legacy Components"

Click the small + on the "Legacy Components" then mark the little box on "DirectPlay"

Then click on okay and start up Commandos.

This worked for me, now all old games/programs work for me, even games for Windows XP

Yup this solves it completely, and if anyone is wondering about why it works, it is because windows 10 by default has locked the dplayx.dll file to read only ( including administrator permissions you cannot manipulate this file manually for some reason ) NOT read&execute and THAT is whats causing all our headaches, by turning on legacy component for direct play it changes those permissions to read&execute instead of just read allowing all programs you attempt to run that wants access to this file to actually be able to.

It feels bad, I can' t run it either.
Only the first two Commandos are available, neither the 3rd nor the strike force.

I already had it checked, the games starts goes to a black fullscreen and crashes with no error. It does this for every Commando game

I think it has something to with my wireless headset dongle crashing the game some how, i read on a commandos 2 forum to unplug any usb headsets and it worked, so I just play with ear buds. Thanks bud 👍
