Game not booting

RTC CLASSIC just wont boot from the steam library. Ive tried re-installing the game, steam, clear the download cache, verify my files and nothing. The games says its running, then all of a sudden the PLAY button turns green again. Last time i played was a few months ago. Tried to get some gameplay in after planet coaster is a total flop. lol. Jk, just needed some nostalgia.

Yes, same here.

People have suggested reinstalling/repairing all visual C++ libraries but this did not work for me either. I have also tried a few other things (like enabling compatibility mode, verifying my file cache, and several other things). I have worked on trying to get this game to boot for about 10 hours total and nothing has worked.

My guess is that this game has officially stopped working on the latest versions of windows 10.

Just try to install in to the different partition or at least not to a default folder. With win10 best way to avoid similar problems is - do not install anything in to the "program files" folder. Win10 is too paranoid and messes a lot with default folders account permissions.

There is a new patch. You should give it another try.

For me it workes on my up-to-date Windows 10 machine.

I'm having this problem too. Everything is up to date. I'm using my laptop, and run my games off an external SSD. I haven't tried it on my tower yet.

This issue is related to some dll's of the NET Framework and C++ packages. But in my case I could only solve formatting my computer and installing again.

I tried again and is still not working, same issue as before. I also tried reinstalling all visual C++ libraries and RCT Classic again. Still not working for me with the same error message. :(
