How to go to main menu?

When I load a scenario I can't open the in-game menu. I've read that you press the pause symbol to bring up the menu, but nothing other than the game speed controls show up, and it autoloads the last scenario I played when I restart the game.

I have the same problem. I saved a scenario very shortly before the deadline of that scenario, but now I can't play anything else. When I start the game, automatically that scneario with my status is loaded, and no matter what, I can't bring up anything else than the game speed controls.
I even deleted, re-downloaded and re-installed the game, but still the same scenario opens....

Menu bottom right allows you to exit, takes a bit of getting used to where the menu items are. It does seem to (at least sometimes) open in the last game you played but you can get back to the menu this way.

I already knew where the menu items are, but that wasn't the problem. The problem was, when i wanted to open them, only the game speed buttons appeared.
In the meanwhile, somehow we've solved it, and we're playing every scenario we've already "opened"... but no saving games.

YOU HAVE TO CLICK IN THE CORNER ON THE SIDE OF THE PAUSE BUTTON RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE BUTTON, IT'S DIFFICULT TO GET IT RIGHT BUT IT WORKS!

I had this same problem after messing with OpenRCT. Uninstall RTClassic and then search your PC for any lingering files. Delete them, restart, reinstall and should be fixed. You will lose your save.
