First step in any problem on steam. Its only a sub 400mb game written in assembly. not much can go wrong.
edit... ive just updated my driver/graphics card.... still doesnt launch getting a joke now
Hi guys i asked a friend to have a look at mine and he sorted it in about 5 minutes. All my steam games are running smoothly again.
So I`m going to try explain what he did to my laptop and hopefully somebody who knows more about computers could describe it better .
so the issue is damaged files on your system, steam and your games are ok there is no problems at that end.
I uninstalled my two games that wouldn't load.
if You go to add/remove programs ( from the start menu windows )
you need to find the files called microsoft visuall++ redistributables AND THESE ARE THE FILES THAT NEED REPAIRING.
you can click manage ( or something similar ) and click on repair all files.
done took about 5/10mins , installed RCT and C&C remastered again and ive not had any problems since.
hope this helps, and maybe somebody can explain that a bit better but this is the fix needed :)
