WTF IS WITH ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS??!!
THIS GAME IS BY FAR THE GREATEST REMAKE IN HISTORY.

This Game is litterly, been ditched on alot, in the reviews... I Litterly just created this discussion, just to talk about the reviews.

This Tycoon Game, Is a MOBILE CROSS-OVER.

Okay? Now your wondering? Mobile Cross Overs Suck? NOT THIS ONE.

THIS ONE LITTERLY IS THE 2ND KNOWN Game of mine, to cross over to mobile. the other being Minecraft.

NO OTHER game, (that i know of) Has done this. AND LITTERLY MADE MY DAY, WHEN I SAW IT ON THE STORE. i INSTANTLY Bought it.

I HAVE WAITED SINCE 2011 FOR ROLLER COASTER TYCOON 1 AND 2, TO BE COMBINED TOGETHER, WITH DLC, AND ALL... INTO ONE GAME.

Litterly most of the BAD Reviews.. are stated on 1080p Or 4K
WTF IS WRONG WITH ALL OF YOU? THIS IS ROLLER COASTER TYCOON CLASSIC. ITS NOT MEANT TO LOOK 40MILLION-P ITS MEANT TO LOOK 2D TOP DOWN PIECE OF ♥♥♥♥, BECAUSE IT MAKES OUR HEARTS LOVE IT FOR IT. Litterly.

UI And this is a big thing.

Honestly i hate the UI. Unless its touch screen.
I Had to make it touch screen, and configure some controls.

The only reason i hate the UI, is because of its limited controls. that's it. beyond that. UI Is fine.

Beyond that... that was most of the bad reviews.

Now here is my review.

This game being crossed over, was a perfect cross-over, mobile kind-of was lacking the big screen, the Levels are still a nice touch a very nice touch. DLC is fine, adds plenty of new levels.

-Maybe probley my only Cons?-

Cheats. No Cheats Whatsoever Or None I Can Find? (Need Clarification if any cheats work/are any)

Split Controls... I Have to run Touch-screen mostly due to controls are limited, if this was a tad bit updated, this wouldn't be a issue.

Limited Items In Tool-Kit/Editor, I Believe this should allow all objects, no matter what.

Tutorial For Newbies. (Incase anyone is new to the series.)

I haven't seen a negative review of someone who has played more than 2 hours, just goes to show that if you play the game as it is, you will see it is a much more idealized RCT2, and that people who leave the bad reviews have not dug into the game enough

There are quite a few, and it doesn't take 2 hours to notice some of the obvious problems with this slapdash port from mobile. If you already know RCT2 you don't need to do any "digging" to see if those problems would become an even worse experience later on. (And this wasn't too bad on mobile.)

Someone even went through and collated up all of the problems to make it easy for the skinbeast wearing the Atari name like a face mask to fix.

On a side note: I looked for the equity crowdfunding attempt for RCT and see the page is gone. I guess that's what happens when you make a disaster of a once-great franchise, RCT World did quite a number that Planet Coaster scooped up much of the audience.

Hi, I'm an old guy, first time on Steam, and really haven't played video games since Duke Nukem, so I have no clue what's going on today.

That said, I've got a 6 year-old that loves watching Planet Coaster and I am thinking I'd like to get him creating with something like that, but I'm pretty sure that PC is a little advanced for him.

I was hoping you, especially @I'Original or @Lord Skarra, could give me your thoughts on this, and whether it'd be a better idea to introduce him to something like Roller Coaster Tycoon Classic instead?

We have a normal W10 PC at home (more of a business workhorse), Android and iPhone cell phones, and an iPad.

So, if you, or anyone else, thinks RCTC is fine for him (he's pretty smart, creative, and determined) which platform(s) would be best to purchase for?

As well I'm not sure what Steam is, but it looks like I can buy it here too, does that mean we would have access from any device because this is basically online; or does it matter, for example, if I buy the PC game, could I use the same license across any platform (or do I need to buy for each device)?

Of course, if you or anyone thinks there is a better route for him, what would you recommend?

Thanks for your patience and any assistance here.

A lot of people got their introduction to the genre by this series found on a breakfast cereal box CD, so RCT has been kid-tested for sure. :VBCOOL:

I would buy it where your son does most of this type of gaming. Personally, I dislike simulation games on mobile because of the limited screen space and interface, but he might be okay with it. This seems to be a bit more polished than when first released.

Steam is a PC/Mac/Linux distribution platform; buy a game on it once and you can access it by other PC/Mac/Linux devices, and some people have been amassing digital libraries to avoid all the old CD scratch blues. No mobile support, those versions can be found in their respective stores, and vary a bit in control and content (here you get all the packs included, on mobile they are a la carte IIRC).

I would have recommended RCT3 Platinum, but it's no longer for sale in lieu of a "complete edition" that still has a lot of old issues in it still unfixed. May still be worth checking out for the Soaked! water park and Wild! animal park xpacs for a little variety.

Thank you for the fast response. You mentioned you're not really a fan of mobile (for this application), would an iPad be okay, or still too small, do you think; and do you know if that would include the packs or be more along the lines of mobile? And, going the Steam route sounds like a more versatile option, if I understand correctly; that said, if Steam can be loaded on an iPad would I be able to have the same versatility as I would a PC, aside from screen size?

Sorry for all the questions, this is like learning it all over again for me.

Thanks again.

The version for iPad through the Apple App Store would probably do okay to alleviate interface/screen crunch, I am not that familiar with that version other than that much, apologies.

Steam is PC/Mac/Linux/Steam Deck only, no iPad unfortunately (at least natively for this game unless you do something like this[bestsmartphone.games]). A PC tablet would run the PC version. But if you buy RCTC here you could only play via any PC/Mac/Linux you have Steam installed on.

Okay, thank for all the great info; and it goes without saying, but it's very much appreciated. If you think of anything else, please let me know!

I find it odd that you know so much about the Steam version of this game but you don't have it in your library. *Shrug*

The game isn't just available for purchase on Steam. Steam just usually has the most active forums.

Yes it's a mobile port, But has many QOL features the original should have had.

This version is 10x better than the original for that reason.

Negative reviews are just soyboys with little hours to the game. Which is strange since the original game is still on steam.

You're trying too hard for Jester Awards, my dude.
The negative reviews were because of the really poor initial release state.

Look, I was psychic!
