Game breaks when saving.

On my first park, the game crashed when it was supposed to give me a winning screen.

Whatever, I tried again.

If I save, the entire game gets stuck on the saving screen with the red wheel. Is there a fix? Pretty dissapointed something so fundamental isn't functioning properly.

I have the same issue, freezing while saving the game or just not saving anything and wheel just keeps spinning and nothing happens for minutes. When I close and re-open the game, all my options are back to normal and nothing is saved which kinda sucks if you had a great park :( Hope they'll fix it (with some kind of update??)

Same exact thing is happening to me. tried creating custom parks and tracks too but nothing within the game saves at all

I love he old versions but want to play the updated version so bad.

I am having the same issue now when i play it shuts down and stops working really regretting purchasing this game. Atari and Steam yall need to fix this problem or im done playing for good!!!!!!!!

so i spoke to rollercoaster tycoon on facebook and they said their it department cannot recreate the issue we are all having. But told me to go properties, then to files and press verify on the file. Tried that still does not work, im upset and so sad this game does not function correctly!!!!!!

I had the same issue. For me the problem was Bitdefender. Had to give application access. Works perfectly now.
So check your antivirus software and firewalls.

Thank you! This was the problem for me. Application access was turned off for RCTC by default but once enabled I could save games normally again.

OKAY the the problem for anyone who runs by this is an ANTI-VIRUS software. For me Windows Defender was literally blocking the game from saving. So the best thing to do, is start a new game. try to save and go to the action center and allow all RCTC.exe's access to your PC.

If you have any 3rd party AV then do the same from within its included application.

I hope this helps anyone who comes around and it explains why those who made the game had no issue since their AV wouldn't block something they probably already gave perms to.
