Performance issues + workaround
I'm loving the game. I have an i7-6700K and and a GTX 1080ti driving a 165hz 1440p display. I would expect to get 165fps in a game like this, but my issue isn't so much that I'm not getting that. Rather, my issue is how much the framerate dips while playing. I'll take a steady 60fps any day over the large fluctuations between 100-165 that I'm getting. I'm very sensitive to stutter and can spot frame-rate dips of 20 (sometimes 15) fps or more. I started notcing it almost immediately in GRIS. My solution was to use NV Inspector to cap the game's frame-rate to 90. It even dips below that on occasion, but it is rare.

I might boot it up on my 1060 maxQ laptop to see how it differs. I'd guess probably not much because I don't think it's actually taxing the hardware, but I could be wrong. It seems more like an engine or optimzaiton issue, but I'm no expert. In any case this is not ideal, and with such a short game I'll be done with it long before any fix could possibly come, but hopefully the performance issues can be fixed for future players. Better yet, hopefully it's just me and no one else has the problem.

I am having the exact problem using same display and CPU. The game right now is unplayable for me.

I really don't want to refund this so hope developer would respond any time soon.

I mean, unless yours is worse than mine I wouldn't call it unplayable. 90fps is fine as long as it stays that way, and it mostly does if you cap it. I would much prefer 165fps for maximum smoothness of course. The real issue is that most don't know how easy it is to cap the fps in games I'd wager. This will negatively impact the experience of others who encounter this. I wouldn't be able to keep playing without capping, and for a game this beautiful and immersive that's a shame. That said, I don't know how common it is for people to be as sensitive to stuter as I am, so maybe it's an edge case.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm having a slightly similar problem. My config is not that spectacular, but it should be able run these types of games without any problem.

Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 1700
GPU: AMD Radeon Rx 560
RAM: 16 GB

The problem is I am only getting 45 fps, it doesn't increase doesn't decrease. But it's a huge issue for me. I at least need 60 fps to play a game. I played the crack version earlier, to check how the game was. The crack was running fine without any problem. I would get 60 fps there. I don't know what's wrong with the official version.

How did you cap the frame rate?
