Need help with the "Underground Ice Level"

Yes, hello you beautiful people!
I've been struggeling badly with the Underground Ice Level, especially with the part, where you need to form an block of ice to jump on a tall pillar to get one of those stars (?)
Is there anything I'm missing?
No matter where or how I form my temporary iceblack it doesn't seem to be enough height to jump over to the tall pillar. It's currently really frustrating and any support is appreciated!

you need to use your cube form and wait till it the game makes an "iceversion" of your cube, then you can jump on this and get higher.
you also can do the following:
use cubeform > wait till it makes an "iceversion" of yourself > jump on your "iceversion" > go again into cubeform > wait again till it makes an "iceversion" of yourself
with this you'll have a cube in the air to get higher.

ah yeah, just like I explained, on this iceversion you create a 2nd iceversion in your cubeform.
