help! i don't know how to use this game!

how do i start a new game? im using a mouse. i don't see a pointer, so how do i click new game? or is there a button? please help!

First you have to start a new game to get to the settings menu, as others have explained you can use arrows/wasd + enter for the menu. Once the cutscene ends, press escape and use arrows/wasd + enter for this menu as well - Settings --> Keyboard

First time I turned on the game. No buttons were working. Had to shut the game off via task manager. Turned it on again and the arrow and Enter started working though there was considerable input lag.

TLDR: try turning it off and again on

This is what worked for me. The first time I opened it, no amount of button mashing worked. On the second time it started, it was instantly responsive.

The same thing happened to me just now - it was a super fast download and there was no opening credit screen of the developer or anything, just straight to the menu. Uninstalled and reinstalled and it took a lot longer, and included opening screens and whatnot, and now I can play just fine with arrow keys and enter. I think it just doesn’t properly download the first time for some people. Hope this helps! And sorry about the people being patronising about such a simple question.
