MacBook Pro performance
Hi!

I don't really play games that much, but really like the look of this one. Unfortunately I only have a 13" Macbook pro to play it on, with Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536 MB and 2,7 GHz Intel Core i5.

Does anyone have insight in how this game runs on such a machine? Is it unplayable or will I have to tweak some settings?

Thanks for listening!

Same question with a 2012 Mac Mini (SSD), Quad core i7, 16gb ram, Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB.

Looks like a beautiful game, but I do not know if the graphics card on this Mac could handle it. Would like to get some insight before I spend any $$.

Thanks!

TheMosl, this may help: https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GeForce-GT-750M-vs-Intel-HD-4000-Desktop-115-GHz/m7928vs2169

Looks like my graphics card's performance is drastically below the game's listed benchmark, so I'm not going to purchase the game unfortunately.

Try inserting yours on the right in place of mine and see where yours lines up.

My iMac is pretty old (Mid 2011) 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5, 12GB RAM, AMD Radeon HD 6750M 512 MB.

I've been playing for a couple of hours and it's mostly been running fine. There's a bit of a lag with the graphics occationally, usually when there's a cutscene or it's autosaving the game. I guess it depends on how annoyed you would be with that. Personally it's not putting me off playing the game. I think it's a beautiful game, and I 'm happy I bought it.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies. Based on je's reply I will try to run the game on this macbook, as my graphics card is probably better than his Radeon. I will share the results here later for reference.

For those unsure if a game will run on your computer, remember that Steam lets you refund your purchase no questions asked as long as you dont play more than 2 hours. Thanks to this, you can always buy the game, check if it runs well and then refund if it's unplayable.

You can always try to lower the resolution in the main menu (Settings -> Graphics -> Resolution), as sometimes Mac try to run at the highest resolution :/

We hope that helps!

I have this running on my Macbook Pro (2016 non-touchbar gen) and it works fine. I've had to almost cut the resolution in half (and still experience some stuttering when there's a lot moving on the screen), but it's totally playable - and is a bloody gorgeous experience!

Not sure I would try this on the Mac mini I posted about above as the graphics card is worse than that of my Pro's, but yours should be fine, TheMosl.

I'm playing on 2nd gen Macbook Pro 15" with Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB, 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7. It runs beautifully in full screen, haven't noticed any lag so far.

TheMosl, could you please share your experience after playing it (if you finally did)?

I've got the same issue as you (same MacBook with same specs) and I'm wondering if the game can run well in medium-high resolution without any crashes.

Thanks in advance!
