Stuck with the long jump.

I've just achieved the capability to do the double or long jump. I'm just trying again and again dozens of times and there is no way to go almost anywhere. I've tried with (space) in keyboard and with A in my XBOX command. I'm addicted to the game until I began to play yestarday and I'm stuck in this level. Is there any way to go through it? I just don't know what to do. Suggestions accepted.

It is more like a "glide jump". Jump, and at the climax, jump again AND HOLD. Then you glide a little. This gains you a little bit more height, but you can reach platforms further away.

As far as a I remember, where you get it, jump up the platforms, on the topmost level you need the glide jump, else you won't reach the last platform.

Remember that the red triangle "butterflies" can catapult you up in the air with press jump while touching them. Some butterflies may be hidden inside vases.

This should you bring you through most of the level.

Anyone still here? I cannot seem to make the jump/glide towards the left, after being catapulted upwards by the butterflies?

I can only add that I made as Kelrycor said and it worked fine for me from then on.

Thank you for replying. I keep trying and trying and I am stopped by the piece of column that comes down right before I glide onto the ledge further on. I will just have to keep trying but it's sure miserable being stuck!
