Grey and Gris
Before Gris, there was a flash 2D platform game named Grey[www.kongregate.com] and created by Kevin McGrath[www.kevindoesart.com]. It came out in August 2011.

According to the recent comments, the game is sort of broken, so here it is: A gameplay video from YouTube.

Grey was about two person: Our main character was supposed to found some objects linked with specific colors to give another person a colorful world. While doing that, he was fading away in progress. There was no literal explanation about story but we had good piano music.

On the other hand, we have Gris, created by Nomada Studio (thanks for this masterpiece) and came out in December 2018. We know its story, concept and gameplay.

I can't help thinking how two different games with two different stories give the similar (not the exactly same) vibes to me. I'm not talking about plagiarism, these two games exist in their way, but they both getting similar development: game gets colorized in time.

If you ever heard Grey, let me know your opinions. That's it. That's the discussion topic.

honestly the idea of something starting out in black and white and getting colourised over time is pretty common. most people paint this way, especially for watercolours- i'll work on a colour (lighter shades then darker shades) at a time from a sketch. LOL

Apparently Gris means Gray in Spanish, where the dev studio is located ^^

Sounds like a good case for plagiarism but the artsy fartsy around here don't want to admit it.
