Part of it it also because the achievement is only given at the end of a long-ass ending credit.
Then as said above, a huge part of game bought on steam are not even started once.
I guess it's simply not some people's cup of tea, especially if you're not into relaxed gaming.
I should also say that it actually is boring for me, because of the lack of challenge. I remember a jump looking ahead that I was like 'oh, a timing challenge' and... nope, a fan unfurled so I just didn't have to jump at all. The game also does not do a great job of communicating foreground/background and the layer gameplay is on. Some platforms 'end' while you're running on them so you drop down, the slope under the red balloon is traversable only before you free the balloon to move upward to where you actually could use that slope.
I would be deaf if I didn't adjust the volume time to time.
this game is like aer but with 0 backwards progression that means if you notice a passage or someone tells you hey you miss a memento you have to A) restart the game or B) complete the game and make sure to do everything perfect the second time.
if the game didnt force you to play perfect than alot more player would play it theres no checkpoints to restart no counter to so progress unless you read a guide to follow every inch you cant 100%
long answer short
1 no way to fix a mistake if until its too late to know you made one
2 no clear guidance
for reference i made it like half way through the water stage and i saw i missed the first memento there apparently was 1 before the stars and ive wasted 3 hours on 3 runs im not gonna go for a fourth run too much work for a game meant to be relaxing and immersive
I do intend to beat it, but i can see why some people would be uninterested
After you beat the game once, a Chapter selection becomes available. It even tells you when you beat the game. You must not be one of the 42%.
