Yup, had the same first impression (but same as with Abzu, I can't get enough of Journey, so I bought it right away).
This case was a most pleasant surprise, though!
There's one scene right at the beginning of the game that is so Journey-ish it is definitely a loving nod to ThatGameCompany's masterpiece - and from there on, this game goes its own way.
Cannot recommend enough if you haven't gone ahead and played it already :te_hand:
