This is not the Case. I checked the Nvidia and the Windows settings, as expected, both are the same:1980x1080.
BUT !
Based on your idea I asked myselfe if my second screen could cause the trouble? The game doesn't run on it (it runs on my main screen, the one we re talking about), but could this 1280x1024 (4:3) monitor cause the game to fit itselve to the closest resolution? 1280x720 would be right for a 16:9 game run on a 1280x1024 monitor!
IT DID!
Only when I plug the second screen off my system, the game gives me the option for Full HD :D
(only using the power button to turn it "off" wasn't enough)

That's why I was complaining that fullscreen in this game ain't fullscreen at all, but a borderless window.
