We're aware. LOTS of people have made sure we knew.

It also means "Gray" in Portuguese, the language the game was originally produced in.

Gris means "Grey" in French.
If the original language was Portuguese then that's the probable meaning.

Plus it deals with depression, methinks.
So... Grey it is.

Adrian Cuevas main dude. Sounds latin-based. Grey it is again.

Natural portuguese speaker here. "Gris" does not mean "gray" at all in my language, and the game was developed by a spanish speaker.

My bad. Sorry.

Still not meant to mean pig, though.

According to Google Translate:

"Would have bought the game if it was not named for pigs"

To which I reply:
Förlåt min användning av Google Translate, men jag kan bara säga att du saknar ett bra spel om du låter den där sak stoppa dig.

Forgive my use of Google Translate, but I can only say that you miss out on a great game if you let that one thing stop you.

Then lots of people are funny, cause this kind of humour is gold. It's not as funny tho think of the game as gray

Håller med Jackalope, att spelet heter gris gör det ju bara ännu bättre.

Guess I am the odd one out, I am Swedish, dont know any portugese, when I saw "Gris" I only saw a title that is all. I did not see any meaning. Actually took me a while to roll my eyes at the swedish name.
The story is what matters, Maybe I am to emotional, but I feel it kinda fits to be like that in this game

This discussion thread became way more serious than originally intended.

I was wrong: it's Spanish, not Portuguese. The Portuguese for grey is cinzento. Or possibly grisalho. I dunno, my Google-Fu is failing me today.

You were joking? I thought you were trolling. I do apologize in that case, it's just that there was a LOT of people pointing that out when the game first came out and the humor value faded as quickly as the novelty of the information.
