1280x720. Had the same problem with 1080p, maybe even worse. 720p works for me.

Afraid this doesn't work anymore with the current steam version. Tried everything but it crashes. Normal steam exe works fine however.

Edited: What does work... Install the original Commandos2 somewhere on your PC (non steam iso/cdrom version). Patch it with the international patch 1.20. Overwrite the comm2.exe with the resolution patch you desire.

You can test this install to check if the resolution update works for this version.

Next: overwrite the steam commandos2 with all files from the original patched/resolution fixed game.

You can now start Commandos2 with steam and it will run the resolution patch in version 1.20

Works with the "Legacy version" that comes with Steam, it is inside the Legacy folder inside the game folder. This version and the standard Steam version are already patched to 1.2. I'm also getting the tearing glitch at 1920x1080 when scrolling, a shame because it looked awesome in the first 2 missions (training small maps without scrolling). I've noticed that, natively, the Legacy version goes up to 1024x768 while the Steam version goes to 1280x720.

So far not working at all for me. Original worked fine (only way too small), but the update to these files gives me choppy sounds on the video files, and a black screen. Title screen I have to practically draw in a square at a time with the mouse cursor. As is evidenced by the picture below.

I have tried looking for additional codecs, but to no avail. Anyone who experienced this and found a fix I would be grateful.

Radeon R9 380 with latest Adrenalin drivers (which I am going to update since new drivers came out on 9/12/18) though I think the Crimson Catalyst before this worked better for my card as the cooling fans haven't worked since updating to Adrenalin back in like May....even after an OS wipe and fresh driver install. But shouldn't be a driver issue for this.
Onboard RealTek Sound card and updated drivers as of late July when I reinstalled OS

Also it's in windowed mode, would prefer full screen. I can survive with this so long as I can get the games graphics to load properly not forcing me to wave my cursor around to gradually open up each stage for viewing.
