Is there a FIX for running this game on windows 11?

So.
I donwloaded ProjectCommandos, have Direct Play open, did all sorts of things.
The game opens and closes with no information.

Is there a fix for this?

it was updated for win 10

Try setting the Compatibility Mode to Windows XP (Service Pack 3). Tested on Win11.

Enable Direct play on Legacy Components..
found under app> optional Features

This is a solution that works for me before doing this, when I go to launch the game it won't open it and closes right away.

So to play this I have to go to:

Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Devices and Printers

Then I right click on gaming desktop. Properties then go to hardware tab and i disable USB input device. It then prompts to restart PC. Once it restarts the game launches as normal.

Such a random thing to affect a game. But I can still use all the USB as normal, I do enable it again once I have finished with the game once I'm done.

Wow i was looking for solutions almost for 5 years or more since i upgraded to Windows 10 now i'm using Windows 11 and the issue stil persists and i did every solution i've found in Google but your solution works like it should be. And i thought the issue was from DirectPlay. Anyway thank you saviour this also works with some old games need for a DirectPlay.

This works! After doing this just run the game as single or multiplayer.
