Windows 8.1 - Crashes
I reinstalled the game, crashes comm2.exe stopped working. Any news on upcoming bug fixes?

That is a known issue with a known solution. Try using search :)

Have you tried running the game in compability mode (win 2000 or XP SP3) with no admininstrator mode?

If that doesn't work reinstall your DirectX

You should also try disabling steam overlay/community for the game from library

Hello, I tried what ever ideas are avaialbe on the net and this forum, I even installed the patch provided by edios. Nothing works. Do you have a source of documented working routine I should follow ?

I use a win 8.1 pro.

Hello, I tried what ever ideas are avaialbe on the net and this forum, I even installed the patch provided by edios. Nothing works. Do you have a source of documented working routine I should follow ?

I use a win 8.1 pro.

This is exactly the patch I applied.
I had the same probelm than you, when I was starting the game, it crushed and return back to the previous screen like if nothing happened, without warning of something. I dont know why, but I tried to install the game in the disc D and not in Disc C for default. Actually it works but I dont know the reason, just I know I can play now.

I want to know if this "solution" is acceptable and other people works it too.
