What exactly appears when you try to open the game, a black screen or it doesn't even open?
Try to make this, open the "World of Contraptions\Data\Saves\config.xml" file and locate and set these paramters:
<DisplayIndex>0</DisplayIndex>
<ScreenWidth>1920</ScreenWidth>
<ScreenHeight>1080</ScreenHeight>
<DisplayIndex>0</DisplayIndex>
<ScreenWidth>1920</ScreenWidth>
<ScreenHeight>1080</ScreenHeight>
so, uninstalling citrix and disabling my memory profile (DOCP since i am on AMD) didn't solve it.
_______________
Hi, i have taken a look at the eventviewer and found this:
Naam van toepassing met fout: World of Contraptions.exe, versie: 2019.4.28.33174, tijdstempel: 0x60b1b8af
Naam van module met fout: UnityPlayer.dll, versie: 2019.4.28.33174, tijdstempel: 0x60b1b9ff
(Excuse the dutch, but unityplayer.dll seemed to have issues.)
I googled the dll name inc error and event and came across several posts on fora and on reddit linking it to the use of a XMP profile on ram modules and the presence of the citrix client. (I use the first and have (had) the second.)
I uninstalled the citrix client and the game, rebooted and reinstalled the game. It seems to be working now.
Starting the game once with the 4k monitor disconnected resolved the unity.dll problem, now it just stands at loading t 5%.
----------------------------
Same error is back again, unity.dll generates errors in eventviewer.
You can locate the log files in "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\JCP Games Studio\World of Contraptions", if possible send me all the folder content.
You can send me in this email: worldofcontraptions@gmail.com
I've send you the files that were left, i hope these are what you need. I have uninstalled the game and even got a refund from steam, but if we'd be able to get it to work i'll gladly buy it again.
