I try to like it but things like your tanks getting insta-killed by PIATs means I can't play against that faction. It's an exercise in frustration.
such shame...
they could at least add in Beta section that players can play the older build before this sh*tfest happened
Can you send that version to me?
This new version is awfull. I played this mod for so many years but couldt continue playing it with this. There are missing units (you can unlock them but not build them!!!), etc.
I've been almost a year without playing it and gave it a new try.... and it just makes me angry.
How can I play the older version?
Cheers
Anyway you could hook it up with 4.9? Really like the mod but I only play SP and it's not very SP friendly anymore.
and install http://forum.bkmod.net/viewtopic.php?t=1923, in the first link there's also a mappack installer.
The devs took a "dont tell me, tell the Bk mod forum" approach to community feedback. This led to a select few vocal people voicing their opinions to the devs. This was a disaster. The game was balanced perfectly fine as it was. and now it's not.
For example: The USA armour doctrine:: The USA armour doctrine get's not only cheaper early/mid tanks but also arguably the games best anti inf tank/unit in the Jumbo with HE shells but also the pershing which can beat even panther and tiger ace 1v1 but also(!!) the super pershing which is arguably the best tank in the game (rotating turret PLUS possibility of tank commander arty). And on top of tank superiority the armour doc comes with tank commander arty, rocket jeeep arty, and calliope arty (possibly best arty unit in game) not to mention on top of that the combat engineers that can be upgraded to come with vet to start. Just my opinion
Another thing that they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up is taking the rocket jeep away from usa inf doc. Rocket jeep and calliope are infantry company units in real life. but i digress.
Also, the SS units that can upgrade to the AT weapon (in the propaganda doc) are WAY OP. They do more damage than a tank hit. When I am USA Armour doc and I have a super pershing the worst unit possible is the panzer elite CHEAPEST infantry with the AT upgrade. The other thing that is most feared is the plane bombing that doesnt have any chance of being stopped by the AT guns (which have been nerfed) and also one of the bombing runs in game get's automatic hits on tanks even if the tank moves and the animation shows planes missing the tank. This only started happening after the "Beta" got released
Here's another problem. The big "beta" that got released a year ago whatever was tested extensively by a samll group of people who almost completely stopped playing regular BK and totally lost touch with the player base. The testing in beta FAILED. case in point is the USA armour doc getting the rocket jeep. USA armour doc can have all of 2 rocket jeeps, calliope, plus any number of tanks with tank commander arty PLUS mortar halftrack that does arty equivalent bombing, BRUH. There is a reason i have more wins with USA right now!
thats all. also KWOK is a BETA
I have passed all the campaigns of the game 5 times,
I've been playing v5.0.0 for two days
I used to enjoy my riflemen with 5 bazookas, but now they don't shoot against infantry, and the option to deploy veterans removed!!!
or the security of sending 4 tanks to a battle, now they are papers
the population has been reduced, I would have preferred to raise the difficulty in another way...
Other than that, it's a lot of fun to have so many units and abilities available.
