Some jersey textures not loading (Linux specific. Workaround found.)

Hey, so I'm having a blast. I noticed though that some most jerseys only load a plain black texture. Not game breaking, but annoying.

Ryzen 3700X
32 GB DDR4 3200
Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB
Kubuntu Linux 21.04

All settings on Ultra. 1080p. Vsync locked to 75 FPS.

It seems this may be specific to Linux. I forced Steam to run the Windows version through Proton, and now it's perfect, jersey textures included. No performance hit either.

Hey there! That's super annoying - is it the same jerseys every time? Are they always black, or do they disappear when you're doing particular things? Is it something you can predict, or does it just seem to happen at random?

They're always black, whether looking through them in the shed or riding. I haven't unlocked much, but they're all black except for the jersey I unlocked for opening the mod browser, and the default white one. Shorts, pants, helmets, etc all load up just fine.

In case it might narrow the problem, graphics look fine running native on Debian Buster (10), GTX 1080 with the 460.x.x driver.

Only Linux issue i've faced so far is failure to unpack map mods. Curious if that is an internal pathing issue (reverse slashes "\")

This bug also affects me, other than this the game runs great btw, and it's a lot of fun.

Running Ubuntu mate 20.04 with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

A problem with loading the texture asset itself like D-Dub mentions above is likely the area where the problem is, could be a good place to start digging after a healthy dose of searching the internet for similar issues.

Don't take this for 100% certain but I think the default jerseys load fine, its when you start getting new goodies like from your sponsor or what not that you start seeing the bug. These textures do not seem to load ever.

Actually its not the defaults that work, did some checking hopefuly this helps:

• HAOW and HIPWOOD default jerseys load correctly
  
• None of the basic Ether jersey textures load
  
• None of the Kinetic load either
  
• Fortytwo default one doesnt load
  
• Chiq tuxido loads correctly
  
• Polka dots rhino jersey loads correctly

Same here with the War Child & Enemy jersey as well as the two starting Ether jerseys.

Same same here. All T-Shirts, except some of the less rare ones, are just pure black. I can surely say it used to work last time I played, some couple of years back (I had different HW and OS).

Now I have:
OS: Manjaro with KDE Plasma 6
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7950X3D
GPU: Radeon RX 6700 XT
RAM: 64 GB

Interesting similar to the original post. Is this related to Ryzen+Radean?

And, how does that work around work again?
