this sounds very weird, I use an Xbox One controller to play! One thing I've heard before is that sometimes, Unity games will get weird if there are multiple controllers plugged in -- and it sounds like maybe you have other controllers plugged in for your flight sim games? Maybe try unplugging those things and then plugging the Xbox controller in, and see if that fixes it :)
Thank you for the reply! I have tried unplugging any other controllers I have an it still doesn't seem to want to work :( I will keep experimenting but in the meantime at least the keyboard works! Great game so far!
You could also try downloading the latest Xbox One controller drivers
Finally, if it's still not working, could you try running the game in Steam Big Picture mode? Sometimes that can solve weird controller issues. You can at the very least see if the controller is working on Steam itself that way
I uninstalled and reinstalled the Xbox One controller drivers, and now pressing A on the intro menus skips past them, but the controller still doesn't work for actually controlling the game xD
I am not sure how to run in Big Picture mode, but I have tried the controller with some other games on Steam and it worked fine in those!
Any help would be appreciated.
Ahh, yes, my bad. I meant the right stick. I checked the controller through an app to see if there may be an issue with the stick itself, but the input works fine; it's just not working in-game.
