Volcano. How to open?

I passed all the worlds. Jumped over the fire rings in all the worlds. I really wanted to play in a new world, but I probably will not get it.

I still haven't reached vulcano. The bossjumps I'm getting are just impossible to complete, especially the forest and peaks ones. Forest requires more speed than you're getting from the checkpoint, and peaks often gives me straight drops down with speeds of about 120 while braking.

I hope there'll be a better way to get there with the next update

Oof. Finally got there by harvesting lives and taking it slow (and with a lot of luck from RNG). But there's another firenode bossjump in there which I didn't get to.

Also, it turns out you don't get the "A True Descender" achievement if you reach the vulcano section

Yeah but its not challenging, its just... grinding. Im just going through the levels as careful as I can so hopefully I have enough lives for the boss jumps. Its no fun.

Exactly. It's frustrating. Just slowly grinding for lives, avoiding any stunts, praying you dont lose all your lives due to RNG.

If you're not comfortable doing a full run (Highlands to Peaks), Volcano might still be out of reach. Also don't worry too much about bailing, you'll learn more if you try to understand the jumps and the controls instead of going around them ;)

Did a complete run from Highlands to Peaks, generated all the Ring of Fire jumps and managed them all (including Peaks) apart from the Canyon one which I wasted 8 lives on until I was down to Last Stand.

The Ring was just too low. If I went fast enough to clear then I'd sail over the top of the ring, even if I tried squashing the jump by pumping/crouching on take off to get lower. Very frustrating that the random generation can sometimes throw up impossible scenarios like this!

The "Report broken level" button is nice and all, but I'm really missing a "Reload level with different seed" button

Yep, the seeds have screwed me over multiple times. Forest is the worst offender, the ring is too high to hit with the speed gained from the boss jump checkpoint.

It's frustrating spending 30 minutes playing like a coward to conserve lives, just so I can figure out where I need to start from in order to get enough speed for the jump. Last time I tried I had to restart the whole track and then climb even higher up the map just to make it, even with increased bunny hop force and pump crew skills.

Edit: Finally did it. Would highly recommend grinding highlands, I got about 15 lives from it and then played safe. Had enough lives to spend on each boss jump to get the exact speed (Got super lucky on the boss jump seeds though)

i just finished the volcano and i didnt get the achievment for unlocking it and it took me like 1 hour:(
