Multiplayer not working

I'm trying to play with a friend.
We are all set, lobby is open, he can join the lobby but then I can't see him and he can't see me.

I hope you've been able to play with your friend since your post. If the bug persists, I'm afraid I won't be of any help as the issue never occured to me, however you may want to report it in the #bug-reporting section of the Discord community the devs have set up : https://discord.gg/eMfHEm2

The Descenders Discord is quite active, so maybe someone will have a solution for you there. You'll probably get an answer from the devs too (I think they're currently attending Pax West in order to promote the game, but they'll be back soon).

After sometime of trying to figure this out myself and having the same issue I FINALLY found a solution last night. Okay so, the time on my computer was set correctly. BUT THE TIME ZONE was set Incorrectly. I went to my date and time settings in Windows10 and set the Time zone to Eastern Time. My proper time zone. Booted up the game and the multiplayer worked perfectly. Please help spread the word on this as I know many people have dealt with it. Have fun
