Tutorial missions

Hello everyone!

I'd like to ask whether anyone has found or managed to play the 2 tutorial missions of the game (playing this Steam version). I mean, when I first played this game about 15 years ago there were 2 tutorial missions I could start for practice and becoming familiar with the abilities of your commandos: both missions had 3 of the 6 main characters and both missions were with the same map.
So, if possible, how could I play these missions?

It's a separate application and it is in the game directory (in the legacy folder), but whenever I try to launch it I get a message saying 'could not find Steam', so unless there's a way around that I don't think you'll be able to do them.

Found it as you described and got the same error message.

When launching the game from Steam there is an option to start the Legacy version but unfortunately it doesn't contain the tutorial missions. :/
(So it's not clear for me why this legacy version exists at all.)

I just found a workaround to get the tutorials to work!

Copy the "Steam.dll" file from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam into the Legacy folder here
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Commandos Beyond the Call of Duty\Legacy

Now you can start the legacy tutorials with tutorial.exe :)

I wouldn't have even thought that anyone would ever reply to this.

Just so you know the tutorials don't really teach you anything - they're basically 2 very easy missions. Don't expect any guidance from the game!

Although considering how difficult the first mission is if you haven't played the original you'll probably need them!

The game never made difficulties for me: played it first when I was only 9, and loved it, played it through multiple times, even on the hard difficulty.
Asked the question just because I wanted to play and see those missions again, after so many years. :)
