I'd been playing it for a couple hours every day, ue4 crash started happening and I haven't touched it since. Shame because I really was enjoying it more than I'd enjoyed a game in a while tbh.
So the UE4 crashing is STILL in this game? Absolute yikes..
What's this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you're pulling Outrider dev?
This game been out for years, ♥♥♥♥ off.
The class reworks were always a good thing to occur, but it ended up being too little too late for a lot of this game. It was a game that felt like it was trying to be a Borderlands/Gears of War hybrid without actually doing much in the way of how good either game was. It was good for a first playthrough, but then any motivation to do any others for the other three classes felt forced and unenjoyable from the get-go.
Constant server issues, a $10-15 DLC that you charged $40 for, a unfulfilling conclusion to the story, and just balance issues out the backend with weapon builds and such. The combat was enjoyable for what it was, but felt like it needed a lot more.
The problem is that I want to enjoy this game, I wanted it to be something that we could appreciate, but too many balls were dropped too often between inconsistent writing, horrible scaling issues, always online, and lack of support from devs on a lot of things.
It felt more like a grab than a finished product, no matter how much was shoved into it. If you ever come back to this universe, do better, because this wasn't it.
Now they are trying to do it again by releasing it as a 'new' product to double dip on the bug fixes... again.... (hoping for a new audience that doesn't know the past??)
Outriders should've been so much better but was handled so poorly it hurts to see
