Not a great game, hate is absolutely warranted.

Play First Descendant instead, it's a better game and it's free.

To be fair, it doesn't look like that game is doing any better either with it's mixed reviews... Doesn't help that Nexon is infact a complete scam company as well with the way they killed off games in the past and with how they never care about their playerbase..

At the end of the day, Nexon will always be a extremely greedy company that screws you over at any time of the day.. They did it with Vindictus, Maple Story and probably plenty of other games...

But that aside, it's not really that high of a bar to reach regarding making a game that's better than outriders..

And to the 2 users above you.. Please, please stop shilling for this game.. Just because the both of you liked outriders doesn't mean it's a great game, outriders is average at best.. Would've been good if the devs didn't abandon it while throwing out a 40 dollar DLC that is shorter than most indie games.

I agree but tbf in kind, people can fly is also a scam company with an amateur dev team.

The mixed reviews as far as I understand it are mostly either at the shock of mtx (which is knee jerk at this point given that it's a free AAA game, they gotta make money some how right?) and because of server issues which all live service games suffer from at launch.

This game (outriders) included had theeee worst launch because of server issues and it took them over 6 months to give us this "sorry our launched" gift package which ended up just being like 2 legendary weapons that were not good.

Also admittedly I have never actually played First Descendant but it's just gotta be better than this steaming pile of money grabbing garbage.

Heck, even months before it was actually playable... I wasn't able to play the damn thing for 3 and a half weeks straight due to constant UE4 crashing on my end.. I know what people went through to get this game running, as i was there as well :P

But as much of a scam company people can fly is (Because they are, they took what little money they got and decided to bail after worldslayer), they still aren't on the same level as Nexon is... The only ones being close to Nexon are EA/Nintendo and probably even Ubisoft..

And regarding the actual reason why outriders failed was because the devs got cucked by Square Enix who were supposed to give people can fly a bunch of royalties (Basically a big pile of cash for gaming development).. Hence why worldslayer was so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ expensive for what little it offered upon it's release.

Now looking at the store, the basegame is 10 euros and the expansion seems to be 12 euros.. If that expansion was 12 euros when it initially came out instead of 40/42 euros, then the devs would probably still be in business..

Anyway, outriders is wasted potential.. Which is a shame because i did like the game at some point..

I will actually go out of my way to make sure I do not see any of their names in any games I buy in the future.

The game COULD of been one of the best third person looter shooters of it's time if it wasn't for the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the devs pulled. (I.E. they released a demo before official release that had boosted legendary drop rates which felt like the correct drop rates legendary should have. After release they nerfed that drop rate into a 0.0x chance. When players noticed and proved it mathematically the devs came back and condescendingly said we were wrong and had no idea what we were talking about. Then like a month or two later you saw in the patch notes all of the drops got increased across the board with out mention or apology...)

♥♥♥♥ like this that purposely waste peoples time and keep them playing the game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It's so ♥♥♥♥♥♥ scummy and wrong. And don't get me started on their novice approach to balancing.... Never in my life have I seen such a low IQ approach to balancing a game they designed, it's insane, I can't emphasis with out vulgarity how unbelievably stupid they approached balancing to their own game.

Despite all that it is a fun game to play until end game, but it's the only game where the devs were so bad as people and as developers that it made the game not fun.

As far as First Descendant goes, my comment is just to steer everyone clear of PCF and into a free game that is basically doing the same thing. While I don't know anything about Nexus, I do know everything about PCF and these are truly scummy devs that absolutely deserve all the hate they receive.

Oh yeah, i remember the demo.. That same demo that ran as smooth as butter (Didn't get any legendary drops though) and then when the actual game came out it being a completely broken mess... Coded together by a bunch of 12 year olds.. They couldn't even figure out the multiplayer aspect of this game weeks/months after the game was finally playable.. It was always broken, finding a party took ages and when you finally got into one you got error coded out of it.. Because for some reason the game decided "Nope, can't do that now do we"... In my hundred hours of this game i've only been able to get into a party ONE SINGLE time..

The balancing in this game was also something that i never understood, why in the fk did everything get nerfed into the ground while the most borderline broken class (Technomancer) was straight up untouched.. It was the biggest reason after all why everybody and their moms were running technomancer followed by pyro... The game was literally advertised as a "Power player fantasy"... But nope, instead they broke that entire concept by nerfing stuff over and over and over to a point where it was straight up false marketing/advertising..

And then on top of all that having the balls to drop a DLC with only a few hours worth of gameplay for the same price as multiple games combined..

And now, i don't want to bring in something that is most likely a non factor considering it was one of the lesser issues with the game (And because i don't have a exact idea to much it's true).. But apparently Sweet Baby Ink was also somehow involved with outriders.. As people can fly were featured on their page about companies they work with or have worked with.. But like i said, even if they did.. It was least of the issues of the game itself..

Anyways, i will never ever bother with people can fly again..

i play it aaaaaaaaaaaaand its supppppppppppppppppppppppppper instead of outriders where no one is in servers. i need help with this kind of games. I have played outriders many many many times and with pleasure but the first descendant is finally a worthy successor

Just add offline mode do atlest this much for the people that still belives in you....show us the good will so we can recomand the game to our friends

what bothered me the most about outriders is how their world slayer "expansion" modified the core game to the point where it became unplayable without the expansion, way to force the player base to cough up cash, that was a really ♥♥♥♥ move.

This game had massive potential, but the horrific issues. The fact that the DLC was 40$ and literally only had 5 missions and a 10 wave horde mode that you had to grind endlessly because it was the only reliable source of good drops and materials to enhance them killed the game completely back in 2022-23.

Such a shame, Sqenix had a potential rival to a lot of looter shooters but they just let it die

Come on now the extension is awesome. Every class gets two additional skill trees, a new campaign with beautiful levels, a completely new item tier, new items, new mods.
You may be unhappy with the game, ok. But the addon is worth every cent.

For anyone that hasn't bought the game . . Don't, It's really dead aside from a very small group of players.

They killed the majority of the playerbase on launch way before the DLC with how they interacted with the community and how little there was to do in the game.

Almost an entire month you just got booted from offline (Solo) Multiplayer was worse (Co-op), Way worse than Palworld. Least Palworld the server issues are from hackers these devs just bought cloud service to do server hosting or something equally as trash.

The gunplay is okay, You're better off to play Destiny 2 (As much as i hate that game it's better) or Remnant 2 instead of this if you want gunplay.

TLDR; Not worth your money, These are awful developers do not give them money.

Edit; You're also required to be online 24/7 and the servers were buggy as hell when game was in prime so i doubt they upgraded them now that they have not even 1/8th the playerbase of launch. Expect to be booted to main menu A LOT. Not good developers, Beggar devs trying to get a extra dime out with fake update or try to re-reel in day one players.

dont believe this clown. We had a ton of fun with my wife playing it. Its cheap in sales, u dont need nasa PC and it will give u more than 30 hours of fun
