PCF will never work with Square Enix again after the horrible contract they got on Outriders
It's unknown who owns the IP completely but if Square's contract it could be Square's IP going forward so Outriders ends with this title
Nothing Stopping PCF from making a game 85% like Outriders though, singleplayer and offline
and shut down servers of the first game right before it launches
Nah, the real reason was they had to change their store front page because they earned a lot of bad reviews when they first released. So when they did a big update.. new horizon I think it was called, they made a new page to bury the bad reviews in an attempt to boost sales.
Scam company.
If you like Gears of War, Division etc type games then get this. You'll enjoy it 100%
It's gameplay alone is a gem that isn't being polished anymore sadly; all thanks to this online gaming community we are a part of.
The story and setting is great too. If you are playing now, and want to play with other people i would suggest leaving a note in the discussions tab and adding those of us who play cause you'll have better luck finding people through matchmaking for the endgame than the story at this point in time.
It's not perfect. Sound for example needs work but in no way is anything game breaking.... and endgame needs more stuff than just expeditions (which are good and there are many of them, each with a different map, but they get old once you've done them all twice or thrice) and Tarya Gratar is just one big area with the same zones and same enemies in them. That's the only thing that sucks imo cause grinding the same thing for a few thousand times to level up to the max is a ridiculous idea to implement as a game developer. We aren't living in 1999.
The game doesn't have VOIP(you can't communicate with headsets) which i think is kinda necessary for a game like this and more character customization options would be great too.
Having said all that, all in all, this game is a great experience on it's own and if you get good ppl to play with, it's a lot of fun.
Not a great game, hate is absolutely warranted.
Play First Descendant instead, it's a better game and it's free.
To be fair, it doesn't look like that game is doing any better either with it's mixed reviews... Doesn't help that Nexon is infact a complete scam company as well with the way they killed off games in the past and with how they never care about their playerbase..
At the end of the day, Nexon will always be a extremely greedy company that screws you over at any time of the day.. They did it with Vindictus, Maple Story and probably plenty of other games...
But that aside, it's not really that high of a bar to reach regarding making a game that's better than outriders..
And to the 2 users above you.. Please, please stop shilling for this game.. Just because the both of you liked outriders doesn't mean it's a great game, outriders is average at best.. Would've been good if the devs didn't abandon it while throwing out a 40 dollar DLC that is shorter than most indie games.
