I do have a couple of sticking points. Gauss doesn't drop loot so there doesn't seem to be any point in attempting to farm him. There's zero chance of legendary drop. Unless that's going back to Shera for a reward which most of the time are just vendor trash. Plus never mind the time it takes to back to get that reward.
The drop rate for captains is well pretty bad. Well over a hundred runs with two players and only one drop. Would have like to see a slight tweak to the drop rate.
No one is making you farm, and if your not having fun, change the way you play or play something else.
Never got a legendary drop.
My vendors also have never offered epic equipment.
Not sure how low those drop rates are but I definitely don't feel that's balance.
This is just my experience tho.
I overall enjoy the game considerably and the difficulty with 3 players is very good.
I just hope my rng increases with the full game.
It's an optimization issue. The devs addressed this will not be an issue in the final game where DX12 will be optimized and properly implemented. It'll be the default API.
Please take a look at the world tiers my dude, this change is just to limit farming in the demo.

This is the beginning of the game, the drops will be slow for legendary loot in the beginning but they will ramp up hardcore as you progress the story.
You guys need to check clip explaining end game content its so good :D
