I am a strong lasting fan of W7 and i kept it the most i could, until about few months ago as i completelly upgraded all the PC in my home and in my laboratory to W10 (obviously ONLY Pro version, no less).
W10 is out by 6+ years (as for today date i think a little more than 6 years) and it is not the same as before. When it came out initially it was a complete ♥♥♥♥.
Getting a PRO version let you control EVERYTHING of your OS. I talked about that into other topics and it is completelly safe to pass over from W7.
With few efforts you can disable a lot of crap and customize the Os as you wish. Just need a few edits from the Regedit, the Auth panel and a few other sections and you can disable all you want (obviously you need to know what you are doing).
No Windows forced updates.
No Microsoft Account.
No access over the whole system by any outside program or functionality (everything disabled and locked).
Ecc...
When i started doing it, in just a single day i was able to do so with any new machine that get's W10 Pro version. It has became basically an automated mechanism that i am getting faster every time i do it and now in just a couple of hours the OS is ready to go.
Don't postpone anymore getting a W10 Pro version, it is meaningless as for now..
To answer OP, yes I saw that same reddit post of a mention that there was an apparent message saying they were working on it, but we've heard absolute silence on that since the day it was posted.
Heck, this game was originally slated to have win7 support a year ago and now suddenly that is not the case, even Steam had it listed that way before being changed after day 1 demo.
Go here and get yourself a free upgrade. MS was promoting free upgrades for ages.
