There is an engine.ini tweak to help alleviate this. It removes around 99% of that stutter. You'd have to google it as it is found on another site.
That fixed it thanks! no need to restart computer, just restart game
I think that's a problem with every DX12 game, something with protection just handicaps something in the code, bypassing it fix it.
So the best way in Outriders to get Ingame fluidity (no stuttering and so on ...) is (by display settings) :
Resolution Scaling : 100 (your native one)
Vsync : OFF
Enable FPS limit : OFF
FPS limit : should be greyed
Cinematics : 120 (Maxed anyway)
PS : be sure to set your monitor, by windows settings, to your max refresh rate by Advanced Display Settings. (windows 10 got at least now a new tied UI design option with that one)
So it appears in the display settings when you force a FrameRate Limit, let's say 120, you will get a crazy downscale on graphics ... and a bit of stuttering. For sure you will have a formidable 3080 or 2060 displaying your game at a crazy FPS but with a porridge of pixels (if you can't see it you are blind or you are used with previous generation console games) and I will not open a debate on DLSS ... (nothing is better than native rez)
I'm by a Ryzen 1600 & a RX 6800 : by 1440p my Freesync range 40 to 144 seems to be working quite fine and I'm fluctuating between 100 to 120 fps. The game is Ultra Fluid with all adv.graphs to ultra & a bit beyond ... API used is DX12 btw.
By the way, devs, I've got troubles to determine if your game is GPU or CPU dependent ... My GPU charge is going from 20 to 70% max and my CPU by 20 to 40% ... just wow ...
Dang, was hoping this would work for me. Cross another workaround off the list. :(
this is so not ok at the moment
In my case I have a GTX 1080 probe with the current and previous drivers, without noticing a difference, but the use of my CPU is 100% against 20% or less of my GPU
Yeah its weird I have a RTX 2070 super and a AMD ryzen 5 3600. idk what went wrong but everything is opposite on this game LMAO
In game options > HUD > Game Log - TURN OFF
Hopefully this helps the developer's investigation.
UPDATE: This still doesn't stop the stutter that happens every 15-30 seconds. But definitely improves the constant stutters.
What does this actually remove?
