It should be, and we additionally added the DX11 option as an extra safeguard, but we're keeping a close eye on it. Can you confirm whether you downloaded the extra patch that was released today?
As someone who lucked out and is running this game on a 3080 I can promise you you aren't missing out on much since a higher framerate just gets buried under a ton of hitching and chugging.
This has a very old UE feeling where anytime something loads in the whole game just chugs for 10 to 15 seconds
Would Vulcan ever be on the table as an option?
(PC specs on profile, game is borked not me)
Yes, it downloaded another 2,6 gigs after the preload.
Funny enough i first chose DX12 at the presented options at start but i can't reverse it to DX11 so far. Both methods you suggested failed.
Won't change to DX11 even if i select it at startup. No success with the "-force -dx11" option either.
Will continue trying it, lets see.
I tried to force dx11 as you suggested but it insinsts on running dx12.
Any additional help would be appreciated.
I mean, the demo was really great and now this, all the DirectX 12 crap, no one can talk me through it.
Thanks, that worked for me.
I used the short guide here https://gist.github.com/d-schmidt/ad821748cdcbb128ea365ba32a365389
