Try to get hit by a Perforo, not by a Boss. You should see a difference there.
My comparison is already being based on damage from the trash at a start of an expeidition.
What is the point of the gear treadmill if the gear makes no difference!? How does that make any sense in a looter shooter???
You shoud be prioritizing FP or AP and your 2 "perfect attributes"
I understand that, but you seem to be missing the point here. My point here is that seemingly armor is almost completely irrelevant and it makes no sense for it to be like that in this kind of game.
I take off all my high level end game armor and replace it with extremely low level trash armor and it makes almost zero difference to my survivability. That makes no sense for a looter shooter game like this where the whole point of the loot treadmill is to progressively get stronger and be able to deal with stronger enemies. If it does make sense, I would love for someone to explain to me how so I could feel less crazy, frustrated, and scammed by this game.
Not even just the difference between 70k and 50k, but, as I said, the difference between 100,000 and 1,000 is seemingly also almost entirely negligible, which is ridiculous.
maybe you need some resistance.
I was running expeditions on the left side of the map and just dying to the stuff at the start. Expeditions like chem plant with the sniper and shooters, frontline with the melee guys, and some of the other expeditions with just regular trash at the start.
Like on chem plant, it starts with the sniper. He won't oneshot me regardless of my health being 18k or 2k. At 18k health/100k armor, he'll do like 14k damage or something to me with his shot. When I have 2k health/1k armor, he takes me down to like 800 or something iirc (I'm just estimating from what I can remember, these numbers may be a little off). On the frontline one you're ambushed at the start by a bunch of melee dudes. If I have 18k health/100k armor they need to hit me like 3 times for me to die. I i have 2k health/1k armor they still need to hit me 3 times for me to die. And on like boom town, I know that in either setup, my pristine high level gear or low level trash, with me just W-keying until I die I always die at the same spot regardless in roughly the same amount of time give or take a couple seconds.
Basically, my high end, tailored, max level armors are doing practically nothing for my survivability compared to when I switch it all to level 10 trash.
I can guarantee armor matters...
CT15 is so much easier to survive when you invest into mods that give some extra armor on top of the amount you have from your level 50 gear. Otherwise, a lot of (undodgeable) attacks will literally one-shot you.
Why not? lvl 50 is not player lvl its item lvl max player lvl is 30 and than put on all lvl 1 equip and see your armor and hp
Second, you're flat out wrong. You're not going to become invincible stacking armor/HP, but it definitely makes a difference. But you're looking at the flat value instead of the percentage. The higher your armor gets the less its worth. You're gonna have like 40% reduction at base value and up to 60% before it starts scaling down real hard. Thats about 50k extra armor. But its only a 20% damage reduction.
When i finished story at i think i was lvl 28 and my gear was same lvl i had like 3,5k hp....you dont think when you use lvl 1 equip you can have 2k than? You know your hp and armor goes up when ilvl get up right? So with ilvl 1 and lvl 30 char i bet it is possible
