Which means all the legendary mods which means you need a crap ton of gears just to compete.
By Expedition Challenge tier 12, you need to do about 100 million damage in total to clear a mission... It's not "world tier".
Also the damage computation is not just for single target but general including how much aoe you can do.
Another thing to keep in mind is to bring as much of your gear to current item level as possible. The game has very weird scaling system that will punish you if you are over-geared or under-geared.
I found best way to progress in expeditions to unlock next challenge tier by achieving gold/silver/bronze completion time but keep farming original tier, lets say CT10 rather than immediately moving to CT11. You will be getting 1 level below max gear, however, you should be able to reliably clear expeditions on gold time, which is important for best chance at legendary drops. Always check on well rolled blue/rare items, which can be increased in level and rarity very cheaply. Utilizing crafting is ultra important in order to get better gear. Once you get all gear to max level, complete CT11 and unlock CT12. Farm CT11 expeditions to get drops, upgrade them via crafting system until all your gear is maxed. Rinse and repeat.
I'm playing Technomancer Blighted Rounds build with tactical AR as main weapon. I'm currently testing high anomaly version but firepower on all pieces of gear definitely works. You will have to focus on damage output because expeditions are all about killing stuff quickly.
Lastly, you need to focus on hitting crits as much as possible otherwise you will have a hard time, especially when solo. Take your time to find crit spots on monsters, most have them even if they are obscure at times (Brood mother is good example of miss-aligned crit spot, it is her left chest area/armpit).
OP is talking about total damage after run most probably. You get a summary of various statistics at the end of expedition run. Stop posting stupid ♥♥♥♥ when you have no clue.
You actually need to put thought I to your builds while also building to your classes strengths. Can just help with that too if you let us know what you play.
Im posting higher numbers than you on CT10.
Also, if you aren’t using firepower-based mods (Critstack, Kill Streak, the one that gives Firepower for kills while ADS), you’re gutting your potential. Full stacks of all of those almost doubles my Firepower and turns my AR (I dont even use the burst fire one, which does a lot more, because i just dont like the pacing of the shots/what it does to my regen) into a murder hose.
Bloodlust is tier 2 armor mod that allows you to stack firepower per kill 3 times, buff lasts 10 minutes. Sharp Eye is tier 3 mods doing the same but better, more firepower and the buff lasts 20 seconds.
Kill Streak is probably most important weapon mod when it comes to damage so this is absolute must have. This one can be farmed in story mode by farming bosses that drop unique items.
I currently do not have Critstack as I opted to get both firepower stacking mods and both Radical Therapy and Euthaniser mods. Critstack is also hard to maintain due to short buff duration and need to hit critical spots. I will rework my mods once I get King Slayer mod to include crit stack and likely replace either Bloodlust or tier
How are people are getting millions is weird. I play on PC.
Expedition Challenge Tier(EC) set the level of enemies and loot level that can be dropped, EC1 is level 36 til EC15 is level 50.
At EC12, the op is getting level 47 drops which are going to do a lot more damage than WT12 even at max level of 30 which would be around level 42.
Gains are exponential
1. ALL of your firepower and anomaly power are based on your gear level.
2. Gear level makes a massive difference for many weapon and gear mods effectiveness.
If you are running a firepower build. Then make sure ALL of your armor pieces have Firepower. And close range damage. (and probably long range damage as well)
Make sure that ALL of your weapon mods and ALL (you may want a defensive armor mod or 2 for survival) of your armor mods are working toward increasing your weapon damage
Make sure you chose the most optimal class tree to further enhance your gun damage.
Last. Make sure the skills synergize with your class tree perks and your weapon and armor mods.
I also run Blight Rounds build with majority of anomaly gear on my character, just 1 of 5 is firepower, and the build works well. I'm still getting my decent firepower build to test it on the other side, ie. majority of firepower pieces.
