How bonus damage against Frozen enemies affect Cryo Turret's damage?
I am playing Technomancer and am trying to max out damage dealt by my Cryo Turrets. There are 3 effects I have been testing and the numbers I see don't add up.

There are two class nodes in Tech Shaman tree that give +10% and +30% damage - exact wording is "Enemies afflicted with Freeze receive X% more damage.".

There is also a tier 2 armor mod called Freezing Boost which says "Boosts your damage against enemies afflicted with Freeze by 15%.".

I have taken off the pants and reset my class tree so that I only have one Fracture node, which gives +10% damage. However, enemy has been receiving only 5.3% more damage from the turret. Why?

Base turret damage is 6835 and when I took off Freezing Boost and both Fracture nodes, turret always deals that much damage.

With one Fracture node (+10%) its damage changes 6835 -> 7198 (105.3%)
With two Fracture nodes (+10% and +30%) its damage changes 6835 -> 8286 (121.2%)
With two Fracture nodes (+10% and +30%) and Freezing Boost (+15%) its damage changes 6835 -> 8831 (129.2%)

These numbers do not make any sense to me. Any idea where do they come from?

I am also curious how these effects are considered in multi-player, but that's more difficult to test. Based on the wording of Freezing Boost mod I am guessing that it only affects my damage against enemy frozen from any source (e.g. if my ally freezes an enemy, I will be dealing more damage to this enemy). But what about Fracture nodes? Does it boost only my damage or everyone's damage? Does it boost damage only against enemies frozen by me or frozen from any source?

Just for clarification, but i guess it doesnt matter: is there anomaly power on pants? or status power and you use that t1 mod for status power dmg increase for turrets ?

Anyway i wouldnt trust Pcf too much on their numbers, there is so much wrong in this game in terms of mods, wording, stats, calcualations in general that i wouldnt wonder if nothing works the way it should.

According to your testing, it seems that your turret only receives about half of the effect it should. In other games it is sometimes that pets, minions, totems etc sometimes only get a portion of certain stats, or for example some spells like Cone or AOE spells only get a portion of spellpower unlike a singe target Firebolt for example would get.

What you should do is, keep those numbers in mind, and then test the same thing just with you shooting a single bullet with a pistol for example on the same enemy, and check if you get the proper % values.

If you get the full value, then turrets are cut in half in terms of bonus, if you also get only half... then yeah, Pcf shadownerfing or it never worked in the first place.

i will sub this thread, im curious what happens. gl

Hm most peculiar, but i do see something in these numbers. The division of actual damage increase and what the increase should have been (effects summed up additively) always returns the ratio of 0.53

That means you are always buffing only 53% of the base damage. Its as if 47% of your turrets base damage doesnt get buffed. What this reminds me of is a damage buff that stacks additively with all those frozen buffs. So perhaps the true base damage of your turret is actually 3623 and it has a constant damage buff about +89%.

Where that buff may come from well, do you perhaps have some sort of a mod equipped that increases your turrets damage? There are 2 for freeze turret.

every mob has a resistance value, related to its world tier or challenge tier. elite mobs have higher resistance, and bosses have the highest resistance

10% from a low value is still a low value, while 10% from a much higher value is... alot bigger value

for max cryo turret dmg, u should increase ur anomaly/status power
add cryo turret mods on ur gear, such as Hail Shot (Increase the turret's damage based on your Status Power.), Increase Damage (Every turret's shot deals extra X damage.)
and add a weapon mod to increase cryo turret dmg further, such as Resistance Breaker (Shots decrease your target's Resistance by 35% for 6 seconds. | 1s cd)

This is beside the point, the problem is math doesnt check out, even if they have resistance the frozen buff should still provide same amount of relative damage increase.

You can't trust anything in this garbage game to work like it's supposed to. People Can Fly really scammed us.

Nope. I bought green pants on another low level character, they have only one attribute with firepower bonus.

Good spot. I have both Increase Damage mod - "Every turret's shot deals extra X damage." (at the time of testing it was on an item lvl 48) and Hail Shot - "Increase the turret's damage based on your Status Power.".

I would have probably repeat the test without these two mods.
