Long range weapon damage --> Shotguns

I am scratching my head looking at a pump action shotgun i just got (Probably gotten multiple ones before, just havent noticed really) That rolled with 8% long Range weapon damage.

Last time i checked, i recall long range weapon damage to be at 18 meter+ , I dont think i've ever seen any of the shotguns come with an effective range above 18 meters.

I do know techno has the option to reduce the distance at which "long range weapon damage" will be considered. But come on....Long range weapon damage on a shotgun should never roll, it practically is a useless stat on that type of weapon because of the spread.

If that shotgun is a slug or another auto shotty, it can somewhat be useful, but yes it's still trash to have long range damage on a shotgun.

This was one of the problems of D3 early on. You could get stats on your items which were totally useless for your class. Luckily they fixed it somewhere along the road. Since this game is such a huge mess i highly doubt this will be fixed in time... if ever...

would be nice if your gear would synergy with your overall stats. Shotgun with Long Range damage would apply if you were using at Sniper rifle with the shotty slung on your back.

Slug is 10 meters effective range. Narrow is 17 meters for Auto shotties
Breach is 9 meters, and standard is 10 meters for pump shotties.
