To fully max gear costs a good bit over 1 million. To fully max armor/3 guns takes over 8 Million, if you don't trade out gear as well along the way.
EDIT: sorry, talking about cargo supply resources
Upgrading a lvl 51 to 52 is 100k drop pod resources but buying it at my max level is like 91k, lol.
Its not impossible but could be a little better balanced
And all the previous levels, the max I spent was around half of what I had after reaching a new tier.
My best guess is that I was more unlucky than other people and kept my non-apoc gear longer, so had time to pile some?
Having to grind to level up and get better gear makes it a grind game, having to drop the tier in order to be able to grind makes it stupid.
1) People don't think/don't plan what and when to upgrade.
Elaborating.
Say, an armour with mods for using skills twice before cooldown, inflicting bleed/toxic/smth and reducing negative effects by 75%. Do I want to update this item every level? No!
Say, gloves with increased leap damage, earthquake damage, gained armour per damaged enemy or a weapon with firestorm, locuststorm, sandstorm... Do I want to keep these bits upgraded? Yes!
2) People just waste resources.
Elaborating.
They find a loot and instantly upgrade it, and then... dismantle it
3) People just love to collect garbage.
Elaborating.
I've seen multiple screenshots and youtube videos where players have no space left in inventory because they just keep all loot! Why? Why keeping it, if you can destroy and bath in gains. Yes, partially because they want specific armour/guns for specific builds, but, c'mon, not like 20-30 pistols/boots/hats :D
I dismantle pretty much every loot I find and this helps me to stay levelled.
Exactly what i thought. The most just don´t really know what to do in this game. They rely on builds from better players and upgrade any ♥♥♥♥ permanently instead of playing about the stuff the game is throwing on you.
Not to mention that we won´t need any materials, if we can bath in them. I don´t get looter-games, which throw massive amounts on materials on the player. Why do we even need them? Either let us play for it or let us upgrade for free!
For example:
I just got tier 37. Upgrading my full 8 pieces of gear from 71 to 72 cost me 400k titanium and 1.5M pod resources (+54k anomaly shards). Which I easily had in store.
1 TG run 10/12 rooms gives me around 75k titanium and 250k pods (if selling half the titanium), which means that for those 2 resources I only need 6 runs to max out my gears? In the other hand I need more than 10 runs to level up.
The ratio was a little worse in the lower tier, that's true, but as I said, nothing I had to grind for.
1) and 2) I mostly upgraded everything without planning. Often upgrading an item that I replaced the next TG run...
3) True. Though since we are limited with 100 inventory spaces, and that we are going from gear level 50 to 75, and adding apoc mods, I expected everyone to do a big cleaning? That may be where I got more resources! x)
32-35 I got few good pieces, then I just upgrade my gear, and scrap everything...
Not everybody runs TG, few runs quest map, few runs expedition... and U never get soo many legendaries, DPR and Anomaly extract on these runs...
