I'm cool with you understanding your limits. There thing is you're hitting a wall on certain things. How much are you changing to overcome those things? Are your mods not working right as some of the buggy ones don't? Are you not upgrading your gear to better stats? A hurdle will always happen but if you don't keep changing tactics with each failure you're gonna just keep getting the same result. Sometimes it isn't the gears fault sometime it is the players. We don't like to admit when we suck at something. Not saying you do cause it could be the gears fault. It's just gotta figure out how to overcome that hurdle and not just bang your head into the wall. Sometimes walking away for a while is the best option. If that is for you cool.
2. Get better stats on your gear, make sure every single piece is ready for wt7.
3. Change your build for more healing or more defence.
You should have tried those three steps before even considering giving up.
Disappointing.
anyway thanks for input folks :D
take care
maybe one tip i can give you is, change all of your gear to your highest lvl. even if its just the pistol you never use, because the average itemlvl is adding to your stats.
Of course it is difficult..
You need a little bit luck to get the proper gear when leveling, which should never be more than 1 level below your enemies.
Having luck and getting some Tier 2 or 3 Mods make things easier.
If you dont have luck with the items at some time you can jump back to some grindspot and farm a little bit, or just lower WT.
Dont bother using a too difficult World Tier for the campaign, you can raise it later without any Problems.
And dont look at other guys, who had luck with their gear, or having started with 10 Legendary mods from playing the Demo.
My first playthrough was DPS technomancer and it was easy mode, WT15 and actually CT10, grinding my way up. The second class was DPS trickster, also easy, I still didn't leveled up to WT15 but I don't think it will be hard.
Then I went for an Anomaly pyromancer and at WL7 I hit a wall, I could finish the game but it was impossible to get to WT8. Then I found a new weapon with leech and two great damage mods for an anomaly build and things changed.
i agree you should ignore healing received because it ONLY works on mod/ability healing, NOT on leech or regen.
Hard to say without seeing peoples gear, skills and mods. Ill say its not hard for the game to be hard depending on gear. When leveling all I really care about is my gun because the game is easy on any tier when you have killing power especially if you use one of the three bullet classes
You can grind world tier when you hit 30 doing easy missions and none of the loot (42 for world tier 15 and 1 lower for each subsequent world tier) you get will will matter until level 46/48/50 when you have to start pushing harder challenge tiers. You can play the entire game on world tier 15 in full white gear with the way the scaling works, and be just as effective as a fully geared world tier 15 character (world tier different than challenge tier).
I have 70 hours in the game and my current character I am playing on world tier 1. I am also having a LOT more fun than when I was dying REPEATEDLY to world tier 8 mobs on my first character when I was pushing the end of the campaign. Good luck on the goblin warlord on world tier 10+. It is so poorly tuned, it is a shame they make it "auto level" instead of explaining "HEY, CHOOSE YOUR DIFFICULTY - IF GAME TOO HARD, MAYBE DROP IT DOWN - K? DONT MAKE IT TOO HARD ON YOURSELF!!!"
Even though my (currently wiped) technomancer was incredibly overpowered I still died so so so so so so much trying to push world tier 7-10 for no reason, at all.
World tier means nothing except the current level loot that drops, which means nothing when you reach level 30. You will be picking up 20 epics every 5 minutes at level 30 world tier 15, but you don't need to push it.
Hit level 30, do expeditions or grind to world tier 15 and your gear will catch up. It took me a few hours of grinding "reach the other side of the river" to go from world tier 10 to world tier 15.
You will hit walls at every part of this game. I tried to grind world tier on a top geared Technomancer with all the right mods and I was getting a reality check towards the end of the game on world tier 10. It just isn't needed or necessary. The game PUNISHES you for trying to increase your world tier even IF you are geared for it. There is damage calculations wrong left and right with scaling. Tons of videos about it on youtube and posts on forums. Don't try to play the game the hard way.
Turn off world tier and never think about it again. You will suffer with higher level gear anyways once you hit level 30. I was ~60-70k firepower when I had reached the challenge tiers that were SMOKING my ass and realized I needed to start gearing up. The main content of the game actually caps at level 42 gear and you can't get level 44 gear unless you level it up (need drop pods & is expensive) or do challenge tier. Challenge Tiers start at level 31 .... the main game ends at 31 so just with world tier 1 gear you are ready for challenge tier 1, anything you get past the challenge tier gear (31 and above) will make you weaker anyways.
I made the mistake of grinding all level 42 modded/best gear I could before trying the expeditions. It was harder than if you just play the game at a lower world tier and do the expeditions naturally (the lower leveled gear is better than the higher gear with the way the downscaling works, go figure).
Play at world tier 1.
Signed, someone who had 20 hours at world tier 15 and was at CT 11 (eventually, just like all the tiers
before it you will own the mobs) before their inventory got wiped :D
The ONLY person you are hurting by playing on a higher world tier, is yourself, drop it and enjoy the game. You are going to get that loot so fast at higher levels it won't matter one difference.
World Tier 1 best tier.
